(a) the detailed reasons for withdrawing the sole selling
rights of A.H. Wheeler & Co. for conducting business on
those passenger platforms which were constructed/added on
or after January 1, 1976;
(b) whether any contract of bookstall was allotted to A.H.
Wheeler and Co. during 1976 to December 2001 on new
passenger platforms which were constructed after January
1, 1976 at stations on Indian Railways; and
(c) if so, the details of stations thereof?

(a) to (c) As per existing policy bookstalls at passenger
platforms constructed on or after 01.01.1976 are to be
allotted to unemployed graduates and other eligible
categories.
However, after 01.01.1976 the number of
bookstalls in favour of M/s A.H. Wheeler & Company are
frozen and changes within this limit is allowed provided
they make a matching surrender of an existing stall at other
station as per extant policy and railways operational needs.
