(a) whether India has adequate data onclinical research on therapeutic drugs and ifso, the
details thereof and if not, the reasonstherefor;
(b) the details of the research activitiesundertaken and funds released for the abovepurpose
along with the achievements madeas a result thereof during each of the lastthree years
and the current year;
(c) whether the Government proposesto promote research in bioinformatics and
genomics in the country; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): ICMR has informed that there is no centralized database or registry existing to obtain
data on clinical research on therapeutic drugs.
(c )& (d): Yes. ICMR has informed that they are promoting research in the area of bioinformatics
and genomics as per details given below since the year 2010 till date:
