(a) whether the possibility of seeking assistance from the World Bank for water management in rural areas is being proposed;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the time by which the water resources are likely to be provided in each city/town of the country?

(a) There are 10 water management projects under implementation in the country with the assistance of World Bank, namely, Rajasthan Water Sector Restructuring, Maharashtra Water Sector Improvement, Hydrology Project II, Orissa Community Tank Management, Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture and Water Resource Management, Andhra Pradesh Community Tank Management, Madhya Pradesh Water Sector Restructuring, Andhra Pradesh Water Sector Improvement, West Bengal Accelerated Development of Minor Irrigation and Dam Rehabilitation & Improvement.

At present, there is no proposal to seek assistance from the World Bank for water management in rural areas.
