(a) whether the Tuticorin Port Trust plans to establish a Shipbuilding Yard;
(b) if so, the estimated cost and the likely capacity of the project;
(c) whether the project is expected to generate more employment opportunities in the near future; and
(d) if so the details thereof?

(a) to (d): The project of construction of international-size Shipbuilding Yard has been identified as one of the projects to be taken up under the National Maritime Development Programme (NMDP) by the year 2011-12. The project is at planning stage.
