(a) the amount of money received through the Diesel Cess for Pradhan Mantri Gram
Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) during the last three years and likely to be received
during 2007-08; and
(b) the State/Union territory-wise details of roads constructed so far under PMGSY
and the amount of money spent therein?

(a) According to the Central Road Fund Act, 2000, the cess accruals are apportioned
to the various sectors in accordance with a prescribed criteria. The amount allocated to
Ministry of Rural Development for the rural roads for the last three years and current year
is as under:-
