(a) the efforts made/being made to operate direct flights from Bangalore to major cities of the world; and

(a) and (b): During the bilateral air services consultations held between January, 2007 to January, 2008, Bangalore has been granted as point of call to the designated airlines of Kuwait, UAE (Sharjah), Saudi Arabia and Oman. In addition, SAARC countries have also been granted Bangalore as a point of call in India. Actual operations to/from a particular airport depends on commercial decision of the airlines. At present, Air India and 10 foreign carriers are operating 22 and 71 services/week respectively to/from Bangalore.
