(a) whether an alternate method of healing known as `Sudarshan Kriya` has been endorsed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-sciences (NIMHANS) for treatment of certain illness/ diseases;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes to introduce it in the country;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (e) Sudarshan Kriya is being experimented by National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS). Presently, it is being applied as an alternate method for treatment of depression and alcohol dependent individuals. However, World Health Organization (WHO) has not endorsed this method of healing.
Since the method of healing through Sudharshan Kriya is still in the experimental phase, it has not been introduced in parts of the country.
