Question : NHAI Projects in Karnataka

(a) the details of various projects proposed to be executed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in the State of Karnataka during the next three years;
(b) the length of new National Highways constructed in the State during the last three years;
(c) whether any of these projects connects Karnataka with another State and if so, the details thereof; and
(d) whether there is any financial crunch for development of such projects in the State and if so, the details thereof?

(a) The details are as under:

(c) Two Projects (i) 4-laning of Bellary - Byrapura section of NH-150A (Package-I) (ii) 4/6 laning of Hospet – Bellary – Karnataka / AP Border of NH-63.

(d) There is no financial crunch. However, one project i.e. 4-laning of Hospet –Bellary Section is delayed due to financial issues of the Contractor. Relief under Atmanirbhar Scheme has been extended to the Contractor and the present physical progress is 52.74%.
