Question : Financial Assistance to NGOs

(a) whether the Government is providing financial assistance to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh under various schemes being implemented by the Ministry of tourism in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the details of financial assistance provided to these NGOs during each of the last two years and the current year, Scheme-wise and State/UT-wise; and
(c) the details of NGOs reportedly found involved in financial irregularities during the said period, State/UT-wise?

(a) to (c): The Ministry of Tourism extends financial assistance to various Private Organizations including Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) located in various parts of the country which includes the States of Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh for events organized at national/international level that have potential for the promotion of tourism to and/or within the country and for Capacity Building for Service Providers. The details of financial assistance provided in respect of the above during last two years and the current year is given below:-

</pre>
Ministry of Tourism has not received any report as on date about financial irregularities by the organizations to which the above mentioned support has been extended.
