(a) whether the Railways are preparing an action plan to modernize and increase the number of
platforms at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station;
(b) if so, the details thereof alongwith the funds allocated for the projects; and
(c) the steps being taken to implement the action plan ?

(a) to (c) New Jalpaiguri is a Category `A` Station having all the requisite facilities
as per laid down norms. Seven number of works (shown in Annexure) at an anticipated cost of
Rs. 1,38,35,000/- to improve various facilities at this Station have also been taken up.
