Question : ROUTE DISPERSAL GUIDELINES



(a) the details of Route Dispersal Guidelines laid down for regulation of air services in the country;

(b) whether all scheduled airlines who operate on Category-I routes are required to deploy 10 per cent of the capacity deployed on these routes, on Category-II routes and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether all the airlines are complying with these guidelines while making operations to these routes and if so, the details thereof, route and State/UT-wise; and

(d) if not, the action taken by the Direc- torate General of Civil Aviation against the airlines which are not complying with these guidelines?

(a) Details of Route Dispersal Guidelines (RDGs) is placed at Annexure-I.

(b) Yes, Madam. According to RDGs, all scheduled operators are required to deploy in the North Eastern Region, Jamniu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep (Category-II routes) at least 10% of their deployed capacity on trunk routes (Category-I routes).

(c) and (d) As per monthly compliance data submitted by schedule domestic airlines, they are complying to RDGs issued by Government. ASKM performance of scheduled operators in the year 2014 (Up to October) is placed at Annexure-II The RDGs compliance is required to be maintained as per category wise.
