(b),(c) and (d): Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has
set-up Software Technology Parks in the following States:

10. Rajasthan Jaipur
11. Tamil Nadu Chennai and Coimbatore
12. Uttar Pradesh Noida
The Government of West Bengal and Goa have also set up STPs in
their states. In the case of STP at Goa the Central Government has provided part financial support. It is to proposed to extend Software Technology Park (STP) facility to all the states in the
country subject to technical, administrative and financial
constraints. The site for STP is selected generally taking
into account potential for Software export, support by the
State Government in terms of fiscal measures, friendly policy
environment, provision of land and building and availability of
funds.
(e): There are no major software exporting units in Bihar as of
date. STPI would be in a position to provide the data
communication facility to the software industry at Bihar from
STP-Bhubaneswar gateway through DOT leased line. Further,
National Informatics Centre (NIC) of Ministry of Information
Technology as a part of its objective is providing computer
based support for Government Management Information System (MIS)
to the Bihar State Government and has set up NIC State Centre at
Patna and NIC district centres in the 40 districts of Bihar.
