Question : SUPPLY OF GAS TO KSEB

(a) whether the Government of Karnataka State Electricity Board has requested the Union Government for allocation of more gas to thermal power plants;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government of Karnataka State Electricity Board has entered into a gas supply contract with Gas Authority of India Limited for allocation of gas;

(d) if so, whether the Gas Authority of India Limited has reduced the quantity of gas to be supplied to KSEB;

(e) if so, the details and the reasons therefor; and

(f) the steps taken by the Union Government in this regard?
