The crude throughput of IOC(Barauni, Mathura and Panipat), BPCL(Mumbai and Kochi), HPCL(Mumbai & Visakh), CPCL(Manali), NRL(Numaligarh), MRPL(Mangalore) and RPL(Jamnagar) refineries have exceeded their planned target during the month under review. In case of IOC(Koyali), crude throughput was close to the target, while in IOC(Barauni and Panipat) and HPCL(Mumbai), crude throughput was much higher than the target due to deferment of shutdown.
The crude throughput in IOC(Guwahati, Haldia and Digboi), CPCL(Narimanam), BR&PL(Assam), ONGC(Tatipaka) and EOL(Vadinar) refineries was less than the target for reasons indicated below:
B. REASONS FOR SHORTFALL : REFINERY-SPECIFIC
| Refinery | Reasons for shortfall |
| IOC(Haldia) | Deferment of shutdown from August to September, 2007. |
| IOC(Guwahati & Digboi) | As per crude availability. |
| EOL(Vadinar) | Deferment of planned shutdown. |
